NEEWER Studio is an application provided by Shenzhen Newer Technology Co., Ltd. and its related companies or subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as "Neewer" or "we") to provide you with smart device control and management services. We are committed to protecting your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy was developed with your needs in mind. It is crucial that you fully understand our personal information collection and use practices and that you ultimately have control over the personal information you provide to us.
About this Privacy Policy
Newer Studio application
When you log out of your account or do not create an account, you can still use many of Neewer's products and services, such as searching, controlling Bluetooth devices, or browsing features on the NEEWER Studio app. When you interact with more of our products, please be sure to read this Privacy Policy carefully and understand the purposes and security measures for our collection and processing of your personal data, including how we use, store, share, and transfer personal data.
Unless otherwise specified by applicable laws in your region, "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy means information that can identify a specific individual, either by itself or by association with other information. We will use this information strictly in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Where necessary, and based on applicable legal classifications, Personal Information may also include sensitive personal data or information.
When you agree to this Privacy Policy, or start or continue to use our products or services in an appropriate manner and do not contact us to express contrary opinions through appropriate means, we will regard that you fully understand and agree to this policy.

1. What information do we collect and how do we use it?
1.1 Provide basic account functions
We will collect the account or personal information you provide when using the services you choose. When you register for an account with us, you will need to provide us with your email address as your NEEWER Studio account name. You can also set a password for your NEEWER Studio account . The purpose of collecting this information is to authenticate your identity when logging into your NEEWER Studio account and to obtain NEEWER Studio application access to server services. Your account and password will be encrypted and stored on the server.
(1) Complete account information: When you use the various services provided by NEEWER Studio , you can obtain better services and experience by completing basic information such as profile picture, nickname, gender, birthday, etc. Failure to provide such information will not affect the basic functions of the NEEWER Studio account.
(2) Problem feedback: When you use the "Feedback Suggestion" function in our products, we will collect your device information, your feedback email address, problem description, and pictures or videos of the problem phenomenon ; the purpose of collecting such information is to analyze and locate the cause of the problem, and the purpose of collecting your contact information is to follow up to find out whether the problem has been completely resolved, or to contact you. We hope that you will provide other necessary information.
The above functions may require you to enable us to have network permissions and WIFI status permissions on your device in order to collect and use the information involved in these functions.
1.1.1 Functions necessary to ensure registration and login security
To improve the security of your system when using our products and/or services, more accurately prevent phishing scams, and protect your account security, we will also verify your identity through an email verification code. To do this, we need to collect your email verification code.
1.2 Information we collect during your use of the Services
(1) Information related to your device: In order to realize the functions of smart device binding, control and management, we need to collect the following information from you: scene information, device information ( including device name, model, version MAC address, IMEI, IMSI, SUPI, SUCI, IP address, device operating status, setting parameters ), location, contacts, call logs, calendar, text messages, local phone number, pictures, audio and video, software installation list, groups and favorites, WIFI SSID or WIFI_SSID, read AndroidID , obtain software installation list , obtain user information: clipboard .
(2) Smart device and application upgrades: To upgrade application versions and smart device firmware versions, we need to collect the following information from you: the type of your bound device, phone model, version information, firmware version , etc., for the purpose of detecting and downloading new versions.
(3) Location information: When you enable the positioning function of your mobile device through system authorization and use location-based services, we will collect and use your location information for functions such as device quick connection, searching for nearby devices, and device lists . If you do not provide the above information, you will not be able to use the NEEWER Studio application's functions of discovering, controlling, and managing devices, as well as the services provided by smart devices.
(4) WLAN information: To discover smart devices and connect to WLAN networks, the NEEWER Studio application needs to access the phone's location permissions to obtain the WLAN list, WLAN name, and WLAN password . The WLAN password is personal and sensitive information. This information is only used locally and will not be uploaded to the server.
1.3 Device Permission Call
（1） Location permission : To enable interaction between the NEEWER Studio app and smart devices, we need to obtain the system's WLAN list and Bluetooth device list. According to the Android system's permission application principles, we need to obtain your location permission to read the WLAN list and Bluetooth device list for functions such as device quick connection, searching for nearby devices, and device list .
（2） Storage permissions : In order to provide you with cache services, we need to obtain read and write mobile phone storage permissions to provide cache services and save device operating status, page information, and other status.
（3） Album/Camera Permission : In order to use avatars, problem feedback and other functions in the NEEWER Studio application, you need to choose to enable this permission to read photos stored on the device or take photos/videos .
（4） In addition to the permissions above, this app requires Bluetooth to be enabled when connecting to a Bluetooth device. If it is not enabled, the device will not connect. You can turn off Bluetooth in the system "Settings".
（5） You can visit the system "Settings" at any time to manage the permissions of this application.
2. Sharing your personal information with third parties
In order to provide you with the services described in this Privacy Policy, we may share necessary personal information with partners and other third parties, including:
(1) Disclose your personal information to third-party service providers who provide us with certain business-related services, such as website hosting, data storage facilities, customer support services, email sending services and other similar services, to ensure that they can provide services to us.
(2) Disclose your personal information to our subsidiaries or affiliated companies to carry out regular business activities.
(3) We will share necessary data with third parties through application programming interfaces (APIs) and software development kits (SDKs). Different versions of third-party SDKs will be different, generally including third-party account login classes.

7.1 Control Settings

（1） Turn location access on or off.
（2） Sign in or out of your NEEWER Studio account.

In accordance with the laws and regulations of your country or region, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you (hereinafter referred to as a request). When you provide sufficient information for us to verify your identity and ensure that the requester is the subject of the requested information or a legally authorized person, and once we have sufficient information to confirm that we can process your request, we will respond to your request within the timeframe specified by applicable data protection laws.
（1）Based on your request and applicable laws, we can provide you with a record of the personal information we have collected and processed about you free of charge. If you make other requests for relevant information, we may charge you a reasonable fee based on relevant applicable laws and actual management costs.
（2）If you believe that any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you may request that your personal information be corrected or completed based on the purpose of use.
（3）Under applicable laws and regulations, you may have the right to request that we delete your personal data. We will evaluate your deletion request and, if it meets the requirements, will take appropriate steps, including technical measures, to process it. Once you or we assist you in deleting the relevant information, we may not be able to immediately delete the relevant information from our backup systems due to applicable laws and security technologies. We will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until the backup can be cleared or anonymized.
We reserve the right to refuse to process requests that are frivolous, repetitive, or infringe upon the privacy rights of others, requests that are extremely unrealistic, requests that require disproportionate technical effort, requests that are not required under local law, requests that involve information that is already publicly available, or requests that are provided under confidentiality. We may also refuse to process requests for deletion or access to data if we believe that certain aspects of the request may prevent us from legitimately using the data for the anti-fraud and security purposes outlined above.
7.3 Withdrawal of consent
Please note that withdrawing your consent may result in certain legal consequences. Depending on the scope of your authorization for us to process your information, this may result in you being unable to enjoy Neewer's products or services. However, your decision to withdraw your consent or authorization will not affect the processing of your personal information previously carried out based on your authorization.
7.4 Cancelling a service or account
If you wish to cancel your NEEWER Studio account, you can do so by going to: "Personal Center (Avatar) > Account Settings > Account Cancellation." Since canceling your NEEWER Studio account will prevent you from using some of Neewer's products and services, please proceed with caution.
7.5 Transfer of Personal Information Not Under Your Authority
If we need to transfer personal information beyond your authorization, whether to our affiliates (which may include telecommunications, technology, or cloud service companies) or third-party service providers, we will transfer the relevant information in accordance with applicable law. In particular, we will implement appropriate security measures to ensure that all such content transfers comply with applicable local data protection laws. You will be entitled to be informed of the appropriate protection measures Neewer has taken for the transfer of your personal information.
Neewer is a global company headquartered in China. Subject to applicable law, we may transfer your personal data to any of Neewer's subsidiaries and related companies worldwide so that they process such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may also transfer your personal data to our third-party service providers, who may be located in countries or regions outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Whenever Neewer shares personal data from the EEA with third parties, whether or not such third parties are entities outside the EEA, we do so in accordance with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or any other safeguards set out in the General Data Protection Regulation.
Neewer may use overseas facilities operated and controlled by Neewer to process or back up your personal information. We currently have data centers in Shenzhen and the United States. These overseas jurisdictions may or may not have similar data protection laws to those in your jurisdiction. You understand that applicable data protection laws carry different risks, and we may transfer and store your personal information in our overseas facilities; however, this does not change our commitment to protecting your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
If you choose to use other third-party services that can be used for this product or service (such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Tmall Genie, Xiao Ai, etc.), such third parties may be able to read your relevant information, and such relevant information may also be transmitted to a third-party server outside of your authority, and such transmission is subject to your consent.
